Check out my friend Grace Henson's website.  Grace, as many of you know, painted my wonderful wall hanging of my dog Griffin and it is my favorite picture, she has also done painting of Cash and Sable who play here at daycare.  Many of you have met her dog Willis who comes to daycare and boarding and you can see him pictured with her under her bio.  Grace has a wonderful style about her and you will fall in love with her colors.  Contact her if you would like a painting done of your pet.

Welcome to Happy Home K9, the friendly and fun place for your best friend to come play and stay.
 
Let me tell you a little bit about my dogs, my business and myself.
My name is Rhonda and I have been working with dogs for 20 plus years.  I have been a dog obedience trainer; have shown dogs in the conformation ring, the obedience ring, and the agility ring; I am now retired from all three show rings.  In the past I have taught dog classes through Petco, and taught one-on-one private in-home lessons for owners and their dogs. Once in a while I still hold group classes in obedience.  I was the dog daycare manager at Frontier Veterinary Hospital in Hillsboro, until I went out on my own.

I am blessed at this time in my life with four fantastic "Fur" kids.  Griffin, (who's picture is at the top of the page), is my Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, out of the three dogs that share my life, Griffin has been with me the longest.  Jack is dog number two, and he is a wonderful Golden Retriever that I adopted from a family that no longer had time for him.  Jack came to me with a few mental issues, most of which have been worked out, but he is still scared of the dark and needs to sleep with a night light.  Third is my little Maltese named Happy.  I know strange name, but once you have met her you quickly learn that it fits.  Last but not least is my cat, yep I said cat; his name is Mr. Bo Jangle and thinks he is a dog since he was raised around all the daycare and boarding dogs here.  He is a very strange cat, but we all love him.
 
My doggie daycare hours are from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm Tuesday through Friday

Dog boarding is 24/7 and is a no kennel situation.  Large and small dogs play together and are not separated in the house or the large backyard.  All dogs must pass an evaluation to be accepted in Happy Home K9, with owners filling out all paperwork and signing all forms, no exceptions. All dogs must be spayed or neutered, be up to date on all shots and have a flea treatment before entering my home.  I keep my daycare group on the small side so each and every dog gets one on one attention from me through out the day.  All boarding dogs experiance a home like atmosphere and their sleeping quarters can be "customized" to suit your dog. (To the right is Rudy, a long time client and a great player of tag)  (Notice / Update - Happy Home K9 will no longer be boarding dogs starting after January 1st, 2013).

 
Cost for daycare is $21.00 a day, boarding is $30.00 per dog or $55.00 for two dogs, for every 24 hours, prorated after the first day.  Happy Home K9 is so popular; there are times that you may be placed on a waiting list to get into daycare. Boarding also fills up very fast since I only allow up to 3 dogs at night for their comfort and the comfort of my own furry family.
